About Lori I’ve been a graphic designer for 13 years but the seed of Gifted Unique started about 20 years ago when I began to go to jewelry trade shows. I was hooked immediately and started trunk shows and representing other jewelry designers. The more I talked with designers, the more I realized I just wanted to create my own line. I started making semi-precious beaded designs combined with diamonds and other gemstones. Within the last year, I started working with gold (14K – 22K) which I adore! Creating my own pieces from metal using tools is incredible, especially when I see people loving what I create!. So that’s it. Painstakingly designing each piece, for you, for me, for the universe. Always with diamonds, and something unique.
My Inspiration Listen, I live in Manhattan — you can’t help but be inspired. Everywhere you go, everywhere you look, there is beautiful design …from clothes to buildings, to jewelry. Yes, being only a 20-minute walk from the diamond district does major damage to a girl’s wallet, mine included. But also, sometimes too, I count myself lucky to get a pretty awe-inspiring sunset nearly every night. So, just look around you. Picture of sunset, July 2023
One of a kind...a lot of the time The uniqueness of my gemstone bead and diamond jewelry comes from the combination of pieces that can’t be found anywhere else. Living in NYC gives me access to a gazillion vendors selling everything from vintage gemstones to repurposed diamonds. While some pieces have multiple quantities, many do not as I used the only pendant, charm, or stone for each piece. I will try to replicate pieces that you love, as best as I can!
